Principal's Welcome

Kia Ora, Nau mai Haere Mai to 2023 and the very special learning community that is Port Ahuriri School. Port Ahuriri School is a state contributing school, catering for children from year 1 to 6.

Our vision is: “Empowered Learners in an Inclusive, Stimulating Environment”

We are a signatory to the International Code for the Pastoral Care of International Students and we provide year 6 to 9 Montessori education. Our school is zoned for enrolments. For automatic entry you must live in our school zone. For those living outside our zone, please contact the school as there may be places available through our ‘out of zone’ ballot process.

We have an open door policy here at Port Ahuriri, and we encourage all members of our community to be involved in educating our children. We pride ourselves on getting to know your child really well and cater for their learning and emotional needs through our school values which are: Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be a Learner. We always look forward to meeting and/or hearing from you.
